One of the most popular ticketing platforms within Australia includes our friends over at Oztix. Whether you already use them for ticketing or are on the hunt for a ticketing partner, they're a fantastic independent company who will solve your ticketing needs.
Muzeek is proud to be the only booking and event management tool that integrates directly with Oztix to automate several aspects of your workflow, including building the ticketed events, automatically creating ticket reports and settlements, and feeding useful analytics back to your Muzeek account.
Syncing and connecting with Oztix
First, head to your Settings under the Integrations tab. From there you'll see the option to "Connect" to your Oztix account:
Next, you'll be prompted to login to your Oztix account (if you aren't logged in already) and allow Muzeek to sync with it.
Once logged in, click the "Yes, Allow" button option on the Oztix prompt. (We also recommend keeping both of the checked options activated.)
You're now connected with your Oztix account! From this point, any Events you create in Muzeek can/will now be populated into Oztix automatically. (Note: it's currently not yet possible to Import your existing events from Oztix into Muzeek to start, but the Oztix team is working on this capability and we'll update this article as soon as it's available. Until then, we recommend creating new, future events inside Muzeek first.)
Event & Ticketing Automation Options
Once connected, you can also activate 3 automation options that may or may not be useful for your workflow, depending on how you like to work:
Automatically select Oztix as my default ticketing provider when creating a Muzeek event
Choose this option to preload your event with an Oztix ticket template, to prepare for adding in Oztix ticketing information. This is useful if you will usually have Oztix tickets for your events, which will save the step of manually selecting Oztix as your ticketing provider after your event is created.
Automatically "Announce" / "Unannounce" my Oztix events from inside Muzeek
Choose this option if you want to publish your tickets on Oztix when you "Announce" the event inside of Muzeek. This is useful for consolidating your announcement and publishing process and ensuring your tickets go on sale when you announce the event from inside Muzeek.
Automatically create an Oztix event when I first save my Muzeek events
Choose this option if you want to instantly send Oztix the event/ticketing data each time your save your Muzeek event. If you leave this option off, you can manually send the event and ticketing data to Oztix when you're ready, or when the complete info for the event is added. (Once the event is created in and synced with Oztix, all additional saves in Muzeek will still update in Oztix.)
Creating Your Events
When you create an event in Muzeek, you'll now have the option for Oztix in your Ticketing & Attendance section. You have all the typical options available, such as event venue, categories, ticket pools, prices, image thumbnail and more.
You'll have a status badge next to the Oztix logo indicating whether the event and ticketing has been sent/synced with Oztix. You can work normally and save information into the event as you're planning it.
When you're ready to build the event in Oztix automatically, click the Send event to Oztix button. The event and tickets will send to Oztix and you'll now see the status of the event in a Pending state while we wait for Oztix's API to confirm it was received successfully.
Once in a Pending state, you can go about your normal workflow and continue to work on the event while Oztix receives the data (it should only take around 30-60 seconds). To update the status of the event, simply click the Update Status option on the right side, and you should see the event update to a synced state:
Congrats! Your event is now built in Oztix and syncing with Muzeek. Any changes made in Muzeek or Oztix will automatically feed back to the other platform. You can also track recent changes within the status badge. Also, click the Manage in Oztix option to view the event in Oztix Studio.
Automatic Oztix Ticket Reports
One of the most popular features available on Muzeek is our Automated Ticket Reports that generate with each event. These reports are now supercharged with your Oztix integration!
To access your event's Ticket Report, you can find it here:
Your Oztix ticket sales and stats will automatically populate your report and is available to send and share in real-time:
This means that while integrated with Oztix, your ticket sales and stats will automatically populate into your ticket reports in real time! Share live links to others and eliminate the need for manual data entry as sales happen.
Automated Settlements
When you make a booking, it's possible to create deal terms related to ticket sales. For example: "Ticket sales of 10%" or "Ticket sales less fees of $3" or "Guarantee vs. Ticket Sales".
With your Oztix integration, your booking settlements are now automatically calculated as ticket sales roll in! Best of all, any/all bookings within the event will have its own Settlement that automatically calculates with Oztix ticket data:
That's it! Your Oztix integration is up and running, saving you an invaluable amount of time.
