With Apply to Play, others can now request to play or be a part of an Event specifically, rather than requesting a booking on a general date or available day on a Calendar.
This is helpful for venues, promoters, festivals or even artists who want others to register or apply to play at an Event itself, which dynamically filters incoming interest directly into the potential lineup.
You'll find the option to activate the Apply to Play feature within each Event you create.
Here's how it works:
Head to your Events section.
Create a new event, give it a title and remember to hit save.
Enter in the Event details including start/finish time, flyer and the description for the event.
In the "Bookings & Lineup" section of the Event toggle "Apply to Play is On."
Customize the Application & Email Response
With Apply to Play switched "On", you'll now have the options to add custom questions to the application form using existing Paperwork Questionnaires, as well as a custom email message that applicants will receive when they apply.
Custom Application Questions
In the Apply to Play "Customize" window, you'll see a section on the left panel where you can select which questions you'd like to appear on your application form for this Event. These questions will appear flush on the page, and will be taken directly from any "Advance Questionnaire" template you create in the Paperwork section of your Settings.
You can create as many Advance Questionnaires as you want in your Paperwork section (which may include as many questions as you want in each document) but you can only choose one to include on each unique Event application:
You can click "Preview Event" to see how the Event form looks, including any questions you've added. All answers from the applicant will then appear directly in their respective booking requests in the documents folder:
Custom Email & Message
You can also add a Custom Email & Message to your applicants on the right side of the Customize window, where you can edit the text directly. The format will be an exact preview of how the email will look:
Feel free to customize the Email however you'd like!
Once saved simply announce your event and share the public event url link. Applications are made via your public event page, which you can preview also preview before announcing.
The new Apply to Play feature is now available for Premium Plans on Muzeek. If you have any questions or feedback about it, let us know.
