One of the most frequently asked questions about Muzeek is: "So what's the difference between a Booking and an Event?"

Events
have a publicly facing name that you are able to plan, organize, showcase and announce. Your Event might be called "The Gorillaz Album Launch Party" or "Run The Jewels World Tour." Within Events, you can also include deeper financial data, build or sync your Ticketing, add flyers and public descriptions, input internal team information and more.

Bookings,
on the other hand, are the private arrangements between you and the other entity, including specific deal terms, set times, contracts, negotiations and more which are included inside Events. These Booking arrangements are never public, often include sensitive details specific to an artist, agent, promoter or venue, and need to be "Confirmed" by the other person via their email. Booking details are entirely private to that arrangement only, and information is never shared between other bookings - even ones that are within the same Event.

Events may have multiple bookings within them; for example, venues or promoters that may have booked multiple artists for a single Event. These arrangements are always private and may contain unique paperwork or contracts within them. Thus, unique paperwork is added to each Booking, rather than an Event as a whole, because it's likely that respective artists/agencies will have unique arrangements.

All Bookings must have an Event name associated with it, but Events can be created without a Booking attached if you don't necessarily need any private details arranged with someone else.

Lastly, you can "Manually Add Artists" to an Event Lineup if you're not responsible for their Booking. For example: some venues are rented out to a promoter, so the Booking arrangement may be specific to the promoter's deal terms and not the performer uniquely. In these cases, you can simply add artists manually to your Event lineup to showcase and announce them on your event embeds and interactive flyers, even though you're not responsible financially for their performance. This is common amongst venues who rent out spaces to organizers, but aren't necessarily involved with specific arrangements between the artists who play.

Hope this helps!
