Syncing to Xero
It's very common to add contacts and their bank information into Muzeek first, as this may be the starting point of your workflow. You can then send that info to Xero at your convenience.
To sync your Muzeek contact and their potential bank transfer information with your Xero contacts, follow these steps:
Navigate to the contact in Muzeek (either within the Contacts section or using the Quick Search bar up top) and select your desired contact.
Click the 'Sync to Xero' button in the top contact menu to sync your contact’s name, email and bank account details with your Xero contact:
What Gets Synced
If a contact in XERO already exists, Muzeek will attempt to find and match that same contact using the exact contact name within XERO and update the bank/financial details. If no financial details exist, they will populate with Muzeek's financial details for that contact. If existing financial details exist within Xero to a matched contact, those details will be overridden by Muzeek's financial details for that contact. Note: if the contact name in XERO doesn't exactly match the Muzeek contact name, a new contact in XERO will be created.
Contact full name and email will be added, or matched to an existing contact
Routing, Sort, CAB, or HEBIC will be synced and updated within Xero
Bank Account Number will be synced as long as it’s between 1 - 12 characters long
Bank Account Name will only be sent to the Notes section of a contact, due to limitations with Xero's API and the inability for us to directly send the bank name to the bank name field. The full account name can be found in the History and Notes section
After syncing, you can review the fields that were updated in the History and notes section of your contacts tab in Xero. This will show which fields were modified or updated during the sync process.
